Application Information Admission to the PA program is a two-stage process

Admission to the PA program is a two-part process. The candidate must be admitted to SIUC before a PA program application will be supplied.

  2. Apply to enroll as a PRE-Physician Assistant major in the College of Science.
  3. Complete all 41 hours of the University Core (or the former General Education requirements) and complete all required support courses as specified in the Curriculum section of this web page prior to consideration into the PA program. Transfer equivalents from other schools may be accepted.

Important dates to consider:

  • July 1 --  Program applications are available.
  • Early October – Interviews begin for selected applicants with completed applications.
  • December 1 – Deadline to submit PA application materials. The PA program utilizes a rolling admissions process.  Therefore, applicants are encouraged to apply early.

* The most academically and experientially qualified students are invited to participate in formal interview sessions. Selection of candidates for admission into the PA Program is made by a full committee review following applicants'interviews. Preference is given to those applicants with healthcare experience, exceptional academic performance, and those from the rural areas.
