Course Description:

This course takes a broad view of the history of art created in Europe , Asia and the Americas . It will introduce you to the key works of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque European art, as well as to Pre-Columbian, Chinese, and Japanese visual cultures. In this class we will discuss painting, sculpture, architecture, manuscript illumination and various applied arts.
