If you have NOT Created a Network ID

IYou will need to provide:

Your SalukiNet PIN. This is a 4-digit number that’s mailed to you from Records and Registration when you are admitted to SIUC.If you have a 4-digit SalukiNet PIN, use it.If you don’t know your PIN or it doesn’t work, try your date of birth (mmddyy).
Your birthday as a 6-digit number (ddmmyy).
Your DAWG Tag number is available at https://udc.rocks.siu.edu/udc/dawgtag/lookup.html
Your Requested Network ID is selected by you and may be a variant of your name (4 to 8 characters in length). It can be letters or letters and numbers, but it must start with a letter.
Choose carefully, this will be your permanent SIUC e-mail account.

Step 1	Create your Network ID. Go to: https://websec.it.siu.edu/util/id_request.html Enter: Dawg Tag Number Enter: PIN Enter: Requested Network ID (preferred Network ID) Check the box agreeing to the policies and click “Yes, I agree.”
Step 2	After creating your account, wait 30 minutes. Go to: https://websec.it.siu.edu/util/passwd.html Enroll in forgotten password process on the right.
Step 3	Choose “Change Password,” fill in the form using your Network ID as above, supply your temporary password, and select a new password. Enter: SIU Network ID Enter: Current Password (this is your default password.) Enter: New Password (must meet password guidelines- see below) New Password Guidelines The password must be changed every 120 days and passwords cannot be re-used. The password must: Be eight or more characters in length Include upper and lower case letters Include numbers Include at least one of the following special characters: ! @ # ^ & * ( ) _ + { } [ ] ? , - No recognizable dictionary words
Step 4	Request access to your Blackboard course. Go to: http://mccoy.lib.siu.edu/~cms_req/student.htm Enter: Full Name Enter: Contact Info Enter: Network ID Select Problem: select the 2nd box: I cannot login to Blackboard and I know my campus network id/password.
