    GOALS FOR STUDENT:

  1. Learn geography by doing geography: experience how geographers study the world by doing applied computer exercises, reading, and participating in class.
  2. Learn about these subfields of geography: environmental geography, regional geography, cultural geography, agricultural geography, population geography, urban geography, and cartography.
  3. Comprehend both the theory behind geographic thought and the applied aspects of geography.
  4. Learn placenames and map locations as a building block for geographic study.
  5. Understand the integrated human and ecological factors influencing our habitation of the Earth.
