There are three extra credit assignments in the back of the text. Each is equivalent in work to one of the unit projects (140 points on a 1000 point scale). They are graded with the same rigor as a regular project.

The following extra credit opportunities give 5 points each, on a 1000 point scale (1/2 point on a 100 point scale).

Attend the following lecture(s) or activities and write up a one-page (250 word) summary. Most U-Card events will count for these small extra-credit points. See http://calendar.siu.edu/ for the current calendar.
